  • Hi,

Please try first to follow the steps provided in Slides 15-18 to flash on the board the pre-built binaries

    mmwave_automotive_toolbox_2_7_1\labs\lab0009_multi-gesture-16xx\docs\multi-gesture_16xx_user_guide.pdf

To run the matlab gui, please install the Matlab Runtime library version documented in

  • Hi,

I checked the demo documentation and it seems that there are no instructions to run the GUI. I apologize for that.

I have found the instructions to run the gui in the following file in the gui folder

    lab0009_multi-gesture-16xx\gui\readme.txt

    Here is an example

    Gesture_Feature_Plot.exe 'AWR1642ODS' <auxiliary COM port>

    Gesture_Feature_Plot.exe 'AWR1642ODS' 17

Please ask the customer to try this

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • Hi,

Here are some steps that may help

    1) After powering up the EVM and connecting it through the USB cable to the PC, open on the PC the device Manager and check the value of the COM "Data Port"

    2) Open a DOS cmd window in the folder

    mmwave_automotive_toolbox_3_3_0\labs\lab0009_multi-gesture-16xx\gui

    3)In the cmd window type: Gesture_Feature_Plot.exe 'AWR1642ODS' Data_Port_COM

For example, if the Data_Port_COM is 8

    Gesture_Feature_Plot.exe 'AWR1642ODS' 8

    Thank you

    Cesar

  • Hi,

I reviewed the documentation and it seems that for this demo the GUI is only needed for additional information. It is not needed to run the demo. This may be the reason why it was not well documented. I apologize, I am not very familiar with this demo.

As described in the documentation - Slide 28, one needs to open a serial terminal and the gesture when detected will be displayed on the serial terminal.

Please ask the customer to try that

    thank you
    Cesar

  • Hi Cesar,

    Just received response from customer.

Customer tried using the terminal but no data can be seen. PLease see details below.

Please see my attcha file. the GUI is difference between the doucument . 6724.19_Jan_2021.docx

  • Hi,

The customer should follow the directions in the demo user guide (slide 28) and open a serial terminal for the Data COM Port.

The matlab gui should not be used. It was only provided for debug.

I have run the demo today with no problems. Here are some notes.

    Thank you
